About The Actors
Tom McCamus (Dr. Clerval)
Tom McCamus is an award-winning and critically acclaimed Canadian actor of stage and screen. He has been nominated three times for Canadian cinema's most prestigious award, the Genie, and won the best Actor award for his performance in I Love A Man In Uniform. In the theatre, he is a member of the Stratford and Shaw festivals, and has played Richard III and Mack the Knife to sell-out audiences, and most recently appeared in King John and Timon of Athens.
Tom is a self-confessed science-fiction maniac, and is quite happy to talk about the parallels between Blade Runner and Shakespeare. He has guest-villained in TekWar (as a scientist with a clone of himself, funnily enough), and in The Adventures of Jules Verne as a ethereal shadowy figure with a big cloak. Most recently he starred in the television series Mutant X, as the dastardly, bewigged Mason Eckhart.
